Carol Danvers was a U.S. Air Force pilot whose DNA was fused with that of the Kree warrior Mar-Vell in an explosion, giving her superhuman powers. After years as Ms. Marvel, she took the mantle of Captain Marvel — the most powerful Avenger, capable of surviving in space and absorbing energy blasts.
Captain Marvel is one of the most powerful characters in the MCU and her card reflects that. The Cosmic Foil parallel is particularly striking for a character who draws power from stellar energy.
